Niceville Senior High School
Niceville High School is located in the Northwest Florida Panhandle, between Boggy
and Rocky Bayous in the northwestern corner of the Choctawhatchee Bay. The
community is just minutes from the snow-white beaches of the Gulf of Mexico.
The school draws students from Niceville, it's sister city, Valparaiso, Bluewater Bay,
Eglin Air Force Base and many students on attendance waivers from Destin, Crestview
and Fort Walton Beach.
Surrounded by the Eglin Air Force Base reservation, Niceville High School is home to
over 2,100 students and is the largest high school in Okaloosa County and Northwest
Florida.
The school is rich in Arts and athletic success. Almost every interscholastic activity
boasts championships and sweepstakes. The football, soccer, volleyball and baseball
Eagles are perennial powerhouses. The bands have represented Niceville across the
country including tours to Hawaii, Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl and are currently
working to prepare for an appearance in the 2008 Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena,
California. Our Niceville Singers have toured to many destinations across our country
and also internationally to Central Europe (2002), Great Britain (2004), China (2006) and
are currently set to tour Northern Italy in June 2008.
Niceville, home of the Eagles, serves grades 9-12. It has been designated an A+
school by the Florida DOE, a Blue Ribbon School, a New American High School, Five
Star Award School and an Advanced Placement school.


The Niceville Choral Music Program
The Niceville Choral Music Program is an active department dedicated to bringing
outstanding learning and performance experiences to its 220 singers.
With a standard for consistent classroom and on-stage musical excellence that began
over three decades ago, the program is made up of six daily choirs and several
ensembles.
The choruses and its individual student-musicians are participants in the activities of
the Florida Vocal Association and its parent organizations, the Florida School Music
Association and the Florida Music Educators Association. They also present two major
concerts each year, one during the December holiday season and the annual spring
awards concert in May. Throughout the year choirs sing various concert as members
of a Niceville Chorus as well as representatives of the choral music program in choirs
in the community and in Florida.

Opus One, Niceville High School's premiere vocal ensemble, unwraps the first performance of their very
busy holiday season at the Santa Rosa Mall. Opus welcomed Santa Claus to Florida with "Santa Claus is
Coming to Town". Their performance centered around a breakfast hosted by Santa Rosa Mall for over a
hundred children and their parents. Other holiday songs included "Snow", "It Must Be that Holiday Season",
"A Wreath of Carols", "Carol of the Bells" and many other seasonal favorites. November 10, 2007
